Originally I was planning to send my club "Edmonton Nighthawks FC" to the Canada Cup, but unfortunately we don't have enough committed players. However, I am still going to play in the tournament, with 2 or 3 more players who will be travelling with me.
I will need a team to play with however. I wish to play in either the intermediate or elite divisions during the tournament.
I have both national (played @ CFC 07 & 08, led Alberta in scoring in 08 w/ 4+7=11 in 5 GP) and international (played for Team Canada @ 09 U19 WFC, 1+0=1) experience, and have been in top 5 in scoring every year in the Edmonton Floorball League (w/ 16+16=32 in 12 GP last season - 3rd place in scoring). As well, I am Captain of the Edmonton Nighthawks FC.
There are 5-6 of us from Boston who are want to play as well, just didn't have enough people to field a whole team, so would you be interested in combining our teams and if there is anybody else who would like to join that would be good. If we can at least have 11 players (2 formations + a goalie) that would be ideal. I think we would like to enter the intermediate division.
A free agent club sounds good. I'll let you know how many guys will be coming with me for sure within the upcoming week. Intermediate division sounds perfect as well.
Sounds like you have 7 or 8 guys, you still need a few more?
There are 3 (maybe 4) of us from Alaska who are in exactly the same situation as you both. We all have tournament experience, and want to play intermediate too.
Also, possibly have a (v. good) goalie if you need one.
Looks like we can put a club together of 10 guys. We can have almost 2 full lines going, so this will be quite good for all of us.
All we've got to do now is see if we can get a player or 2 more in order to have those full lines and come up with a club name: I'm thinking just Team NA (North America) or Canada/U.S.A. United ... seeing as we'll need a club name to register and all.
