The club was founded in 1896 and initiated the foundation of the Norwegian Football Association in 1902. Lyn Oslo has a long and honourable history within its two main sports skiing and football. With 10 national titles, 8 cup and 2 league titles, the fooball team is one of the most–winning and successful in Norwegian football history. The club highlights are the Olympic gold medals won by Alf Andersen in 1928 and Ivar Formo in 1976, both in skiing. The floorball team was started in 2008 and is moving up divisions.

    Hello!

I am founder of the first club in the north of Spain. My club is called C.D. UHGijón and actually we play the Spanish National League and the Regional League of our city.

My team is young, was founded in 2003 but we did a great job to expand floorball in our county, Asturias. Actually there are more than 100 people practicing and playing floorball.

We hope can be the 4th best team in the National League but don´t know certainly.

The team website is www.uhgijon.com and it is in spanish, but... thanks to google can visit it translated to english here http://translate.google.es/translate?prev=hp&hl=es&u=www.uhgijon.com&sl=es&tl=en

    Have a nice day!

  • JuhaJuha January 2009
    Hey there,

That's cool that you have a Canadian student playing on your team. Have they played floorball before? Are they planning to return to Canada someday in the future? If he decides he wants to continue playing floorball in Canada let me know and I can connect him with a local club.

    All the best

    Juha
  • BlazeBlaze February 2009
    Hi,

I'm goalkeeper for the second team in the Bath Blaze floorball club, part of Bath University Students' Union, UK.

Floorball is majorly underdeveloped in the UK, with a grand total of 3 rinks in England and one more (maybe two?!) in Scotland. It's a real shame because with the popularity of (field) hockey here there is huge potential around, it just needs to get devloped.
  • AndrzejAndrzej February 2009
Just wanted to add the Polish club champions, 'KS Szarotka Nowy Targ'. They have captured the Polish championship 8 years in a row and are undefeated in most of those matches over that time period. They have participated at the EuroFloorball Cup as well.

    Cheers,
  • UnihockerUnihocker February 2009
In Slovakia is very bad league because floorball isn´t very popular sport in this country. We have only a few teams in some big towns. However I live in small town so I can play only for my high school.:(

I live in Sweden and I play in a newformed club called Vangen FBC.
We have invested fully in young people around the age of 15-22 and the results are shaped as we thought. We started up in the sixth division, which you have to when you play here in sweden, and we're placed second after 18 played matches.
Enough about that, if you would like to see our team and our homepage, you can visit us at: http://www.vangen.se

  • Hi,

About a year ago we started to play floorball in Bosnia and Herzegovina and founded the first club Gromovi in Banja Luka. Our focus in previous year was on work with youths and promotion of floorball step by step. Nowadays we have two adult teams and in may we are going to participate at Istanbul Open.

    e-mail:floorball.ba@gmail.com

    regards,
    Dragan Vucic
    FC Gromovi Banja Luka
